20 minute timer
Twenty minutes, then a chime. Long enough to get going, short enough to start now.

What 20 minutes is good for
Twenty minutes suits the jobs you keep putting off because they feel bigger than they are: clearing an inbox, tidying a room, replying to the messages you've been avoiding, or a first rough pass at something hard.
It also works away from the desk. Use it for a quick workout, stretching, a walk around the block, or a set amount of reading before bed.
How to use it
Decide on one thing before you press Start, and leave everything else alone until the chime. When it rings, stop and look at what you've done. You'll often find the hard part was starting, and you can run it again.
Frequently asked questions
Does the timer keep going if I switch tabs?
Yes. It keeps time by the clock, so it stays right in a background tab. Keep the tab open so you can hear the chime.
Can I pause it?
Yes. Press Pause or the Space bar, and press again to carry on from the same time.
Is this timer free?
Yes. There's nothing to pay, no sign-up and nothing to install.
